How we constantly innovate

🚀
“To infinity & beyond!” - Buzz Lightyear Table of Contents: 1. Growth Partner 2. Taking our learnings back to REBORRN

When we started REBORRN, our vision was to create a dynamic company equally adept at collaborating with sprawling multinational corporations and nimble start-ups. This dual focus wasn't just strategic for revenue diversity; engaging with start-ups challenged us to maintain a level of agility and responsiveness that big corporates seldom demand.

During these years, we've partnered with over a dozen visionary founders, aiding them in everything from defining their value propositions and designing their products to launching new ventures and crafting innovative market entry strategies. Along the way, we've not only invested in some of these trailblazers but also ventured into launching our own initiatives.

In our 4th year, we decided to create & launch a stand-alone unit, BORRN. BORRN is solely focused on start-ups, helping founders bring their innovative solutions to life.

1️⃣ Growth Partner

Definition: a team who challenges you on all aspects of your business, so that you come out stronger while co-creating innovative solutions with you along your start-up journey

BORRN is a growth partner for a start-up that expands far beyond what an agency or an outsourcing team would do for a company. A growth partner brings a tribe of experts who can challenge you, guide you to find answers to the burning questions for your start-up’s existence, and also help you implement them. So, when a founder comes to us with their business idea, we use a structured, three-step approach to guide them to transform the concept into a viable product/service solution.

Idea Strengthening

Our approach starts with strengthening the founder’s business idea. During this phase, we bring experienced operators from the start-up’s industry for business advisory discussions. These experts bring their extensive knowledge and experience to challenge the founder’s assumptions and hypotheses and help them problem-solve. The objective of this step is to emerge with a stronger conviction about the new product or offering a start-up is taking to market.

Business Design

Once the idea has been solidified, we move into a business design sprint with the founding team. The objective of this stage is to be able to answer the following questions:

  1. For whom are we building this new product/service?
  2. What needs are we solving for?
  3. Can this become a business/business line?

To this end, we focus on the following areas:

  • Persona Definition: Identifying and defining the target personas for the product/service. Understanding the end-users' needs, behaviors, and pain points is crucial for designing a product that resonates with its audience.
  • Value Proposition: Crafting a compelling value proposition for each persona. This ensures that the product/service offers unique benefits that meet the specific needs of each persona.
  • Business Model Choice: Deciding on the most suitable business model for the product/service. This includes:
    • Financial Viability: The unit economics of the idea are examined to ensure that it can be profitable. This includes looking at the pricing of the product/service, costs, and revenue potential.
    • Fundability Potential: Evaluating the scalability and growth prospects of the idea, and particularly its appeal to VC investors.

The deliverables from this phase include a detailed persona map, a value proposition canvas, and a business model blueprint.

User Immersion

The final step is the Product Solution phase, where the business idea is translated into a tangible product or service. This phase encompasses:

  • Customer Journey (CX Journey): Mapping out the customer journey to ensure a seamless and positive user experience from the first interaction to post-purchase support.
  • Service Design: Designing the solution, aka the product/service and how it will manifest itself in each part of the CX Journey.
  • Product Design: Developing the product design (UX/UI), focusing on usability, aesthetics, and functionality.

The deliverables at this stage is an engineering-ready design, awaiting development and launch.

2️⃣ Taking our learnings back to REBORRN
